Carpet Cleaning Tips

Spot Cleaning Guide 1-1

Liquid Spills:

Soak up as much liquid as soon as it gets on the carpet.
Blot the carpet; do not scrub or rub (this could spread the spot and also damage carpet fibers).
Mix ¼ teaspoon dishwashing soap with one quart water in a spray bottle. Spray a small amount of mixture on spill and blot with a white towel (or white paper towel), repeat until spot is gone.
Rinse and blot dry.
If you cannot clean the spill right away, place a damp (and keep it damp) white towel over it until you can clean it.

Solid Spills:

Scrape up the large pieces (use a rubber spatula so you don’t damage the carpet) then soak up any liquid.
